Description: A middle-aged woman, she very much looks the part of a Layabout, and is pretty ugly. Her auburn hair is cut short with large spiked bangs in the front. Her eyes are hazel.

Personality: She is soft-spoken, optimistic and speaks nonstop, as she rather likes the sound of her voice. Her demeanor is somewhat feminine. She will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Layabout arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Layabout. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Description: He is wearing a tight brown one piece outfit complete with pants, hood, and a cape, and he perpetually has his monstrous two handed axe ready. His chestnut hair is kept up in a ponytail inside a small hat. His eyes are blue and he is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: He will rave to anyone who will listen. He invites people to come help in his community garden.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Randal was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. Being a Seamstress kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Description: She is a woman of bearing and well nourished. She has a large tan mantle and cape that has been intricately interwoven into her black robe. Her hair is long and auburn with streaks of blonde, and is pulled back with small tan clips. She has a dull look in her gray eyes.

Personality: She takes her job very seriously, in part because she fears she cannot get a new one. She uses divination through singing.

History: Born in the north to a Hunter, Valanthe learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. She found a children's book about a Elf Cleric who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. Some 6 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Valanthe never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.

Motivation: Her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion; and she desires power and/or immortality

Description: This tall, slender man is dressed in a clean grey cloak covering his clean studded leather. He is bald on top and has large auburn tufts of hair around his ears. His eyes, though not visible through his cowl, are blue.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, he has a hard time making friends. He has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Jocelyn grew up listening to his father's many stories. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a orcs raid, leaving Jocelyn alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature morningstar.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.

Description: This slender man stands about 6'3". He sports grey clothing, slightly heavier than average wear. His silver hair is lengthy. His face is scarred and worn.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Priest for the past few years.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Priest responsibilities is difficult; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg
