When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Bricklayer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

Personality: She considers herself the protector of her home. She feels this is her duty and calling. The war was a terrible time for her, and Sariel does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. Recently the stress of being a Guard has made it difficult for her to sleep.

He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.
