Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Cartwright born in the past three hundred years. She is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes her no end of embarrassment.

History: She was born in a small forest village. Emerald liked to wander the woods near her home when she was young, something she still likes to do at least once a week. She never liked modest clothing or shoes, so she would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and she developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Cartwright for the past few years.

Personality: She is business-like. She takes instructions and follows them to the letter. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of drow once and for all.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. She has worked as a Courier like her mother before her.

Description: He wears a faded coat and loose pants complete with feathered hat, but does not cut a very imposing figure. He walks with a slouch but will stand straight to his full 5'8" when asserting himself. His head has been shaved. He has blue eyes and a black hat with a white feather.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: He was born in a small forest village. His mother took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Butcher they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Guard, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother.

Description: He wears a lot of dark rich colors, with gold accents. He is physically well-built. His black crest has been sun bleached extensively. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: He loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Dilettante hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. After a long history of fighting, Gorbundus and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: She is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. The war was a terrible time for her, and Gynnie does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.
