History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. When Umpen reached his early adolescence his Gnome mother passed away. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Before the accident, she was one of the most outspoken anti-Halfling activists. She was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Halfling doctor.
