Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

History: Skak lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Skak was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

When his father died while fighting goblins, the young Norman began to lead the lost caravan. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Nuraval was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Stylist hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
