History: Veloptima was born with her mother's beautiful face. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Painter responsibilities is difficult.

History: Uthemar was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Courier for hire.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg
