History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by gnolls. Surina was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the gnolls.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.
