History: A child with a great deal of singing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In her 17th year, her parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Damaia alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature quarterstaff.
