History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Cory was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

History: Thorin was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Thorin was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend; and he doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes
