Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, he has a hard time making friends. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Mehen was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. In his 16th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

History: Born in the north to a Painter, Marigold learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. Her father took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: She is a very philanthropic person; she spends her free time working at various soup kitchens. She is fiercely devoted to her father, and views her father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-sister.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Her homeland was ravaged by war and she spent much of her life rebuilding it. She has since lost track of the people in her past.
