Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.

His father being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in axe use. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
