History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. After coming to the age of reason, Matilda took it upon herself to study the martial arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland. She's also a talented Tanner, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: He was born in a small plains village. His first spouse was a Bellfounder, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.
