Personality: Drifting is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. Drifting enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. Some 8 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Drifting never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. Her father was very strict, and drilled into her lessons on being the perfect lady. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She will attempt to ambush and attack anyone she thinks she can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, she will try to sell them to her slave-trader contact; and a rival would like her out of the picture

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food he seems plenty friendly. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Quick grew up listening to his father's many stories. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and sabotage a competitor

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Veit's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Veit lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To unite with his brother; and he doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes

Description: A man with a warm, jovial air about him, he wears tan trousers with black and green striped suspenders. He wears various colorful collared shirts. His golden hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. His amber eyes are passionate and lively.

Personality: He seems absolutely devoid of it. He stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. He is able to fit into much smaller and tighter spaces than normal.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. Ostracized due to the martial powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Gnomes became a terror of the countryside. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: He is terrified, and will act out of fear; and he is wracked by social anxiety
