History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Like her father and her sister before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Layabout. She has worked as a Layabout like her father before her.

Description: She tends to wear a heavy leather apron. Coupled with her rolled up shirt sleeves this gives her a very relaxed look. She cuts an attractive figure and her suit of old armor is well cared for even if it is obsolete. She wears a colorful flower in her silver hair. Her brown eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: She takes her job very seriously, in part because she fears she cannot get a new one. She is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Dwarves.

History: Oriff was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Warrior, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Warrior in service of a powerful lord somewhere. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Mason hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.

Alberich decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

History: Nemeia hails from a village terrorized by illithids. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A deep hatred of illithids; and many illithids want her driven away
