When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. History: When she was but 4 years old her parents immigrated from the north. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Gnomish conditions. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his father. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and a rival would like him out of the picture

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
