History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. She always admired druidic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. She has never given up on her writing dream.

Description: A man with a cold, calculating air about him, he typically wears a sleeveless long coat of deep tan leather and dull brown iron scale mail. His brown hair is well kept and his bushy mustache is tapered upwards at the ends. He wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Umpen embodies much of what other species detest in the Gnomes. He is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: Umpen was born the youngest of three triplets. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Fortune-teller for the past few years.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

Personality: Stoic and calm, she prefers to meditate than take action. She receives visions of the future at random moments

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: She will attempt to ambush and attack anyone she thinks she can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, she will try to sell them to her slave-trader contact.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Gurdis isn't afraid of most anything. She has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Dwarven unity. She has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: Her mother raised her in a mountain cabin. In her 19th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her father impaled in their home, and her mother beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She feels the way she acts is they only way to get by in the world.
