Personality: In the realm of puns, she cannot help herself. She feels obliged to make them. She is harsh and unforgiving.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her father and mother. Her father taught her the rudiments of the Mortician arts, while her mother instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Dariff grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Dariff. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.

He is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers his face most of the time. His red hair is unkempt and raggedy. His face is scarred and worn.

Personality: Prone to second guessing himself, he comes off as nervous. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: Râsh was born the youngest of three triplets. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. At a young age his mother died while driving off some giants. His father being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in dagger use. He has been helping groups of widows and orphans who have fled abusive spouses or lost their families to giants.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic woman, Ubada's first love is herself. Her second love is also herself. She is skeptical of what others tell her and is slow to trust.

History: Ubada was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: She doesn't get along with people that don't share her tastes; and someone believes her a fraud
