History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. After coming to the age of reason, Brakka took it upon herself to study the druidic arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland. She was granted druidic powers by her dying brother.

Motivation: She is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions; and she has decided she is irredeemable

History: A child with a great deal of painting talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats; and her religion dominates her actions
