He found a children's book about a Dwarf Aristocrat who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Sarai was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Human companion (her 'brother'). She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He was born into a rich family. His parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when he was still a young child. The dire rats captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. A gifted student he started as a Spy, but he got bored and became a Bounty Hunter. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Bounty Hunter for the past few years.
