History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it

Personality: He hates brigands. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He is a great chef.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He was granted arcane powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers.
