Personality: Quiet and reserved she prefers to listen than to talk. She will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. A true patriot, Astaro would do anything for her country. She is fiercely protective of her fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: She likes to make people angry or surprised. She has a cruel streak; something she gained from her previous mentor. She harbors resentment against her former mentor.

History: Hlin was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Adept, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Adept in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She found a children's book about a Dwarf Adept who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Bellfounder.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Elven artifacts is his passion; and he's looking for his big break

History: She was born in the east. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.
