History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Since then, she has sought to make the best of life.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Born in the south to a Mason, Fragrant learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. A gifted student he started as a Bricklayer, but he got bored and became a Mason. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Mason for hire.

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Gale will drive conversation. To her fellows she is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: She was born in the north, but her parents moved at a very young age to the south. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by dire rats. Gale was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the dire rats.
