History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. At a young age she wooed the heart of her future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. Some 2 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Meriele never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her son whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.

History: Valafar was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

History: The child of northern immigrants she idolized her father. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In her 11th year, her parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Hugolina alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
