Personality: She speaks before she thinks and is too direct. She has a cruel streak; something she gained from her previous mentor. She harbors resentment against her former mentor.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Description: This woman is unhealthily muscled, almost every single one of her veins is visible when she is not flexing. Her shirts and pants tend to be short and undersized for her due to the difficulty of finding a good tailor. She has a very tight haircut. She has several tiny emerald earrings on each ear.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Merla embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. She is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in her opinion.

History: Merla was born the youngest of three triplets. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Merla and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Wants to raise her children well; and marry her brother to traveling adventurers

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: Enialis was born in the north. At a young age he loved to build and create. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Enialis alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: She does not care much for physical appearances, nor does she care much for other people. She does however care about what she wants and getting it. Her brief stint in the army gave her the idea she was invincible and that she is the toughest woman alive.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. She worked as a nervous Performer and found it very stressful. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

Motivation: She feels threatened by others; and she wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
