Personality: Always inclined to offer people food she seems plenty friendly. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of brigands once and for all.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She now spends her time doing works of charity.

Motivation: She wants revenge against brigands.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His first spouse was a Body Guard, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: Wants to raise his children well.

Through the years after Vapula was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Vapula's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.
