History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the south. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Tabaxi companion (his 'brother'). He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Her mother raised her in a mountain cabin. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. She has dedicated herself to building a better kind of golem.

Motivation: She made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and she wants to meet her childhood hero

He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He tends to his Layabout job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.
