History: Mastema lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She was one of the best in her class, and was picked up by her current employer. Her hair is black and very short. She was beautiful and young once, which still shows through her age, but it is a faded beauty.

Personality: She is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. She pushes her goals aggressively. She is also a coward if confronted.

History: Sorath was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. In her 13th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her mother impaled in their home, and her father beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. After a long history of fighting, Sorath and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: She feels threatened by others; and she is wracked by social anxiety

Personality: He has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. He is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with his big mouthed big gutted partner. His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He has all his life been fascinated with writing.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He has never given up on his writing dream.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Through the years after Barakas was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Barakas's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the east; and he seems to be bored by most things
