History: Vepar hails from a village terrorized by brigands. Because her mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, brigands burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. She was preparing to flee to the west, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her father from journeying west to reunite her family. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born to a Blacksmith, her mother struggled to pay the bills. She was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform Some 4 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Williamina never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.

Motivation: She is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out; and she doesn't get along with people that don't share her tastes

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Meriele grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Meriele. She was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.
