History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Bather hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Criella fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: She was born in the north. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Blacksmith for the past few years.

Personality: She is highly sensitive about her name. She loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. The war was a terrible time for her, and Carlin does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. When Carlin reached her early adolescence her Gnome father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She feels kind of lost in life.

Personality: She is business-like. She takes instructions and follows them to the letter. She claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day she will do what she thinks is right.

History: When she was but 7 years old her parents immigrated from the east. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He married young, but lost his spouse to illithids. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it; and money/treasure
