History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He has worked as a Tailor like his father before him.

Personality: He has always had a great fascination with Human culture. He is afraid of women and trembles around them

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

History: She was born in a small island village. Veloptima was born on a far eastern island where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Spice Merchant. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion

Personality: She is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before her hampering stammer kicks in. She always tries to repair and not replace. It was this mentality that drove her into the Spice Merchant business.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. She worked as a nervous Spice Merchant and found it very stressful. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Spice Merchant for the past few years.

Motivation: Money/treasure; and she is greedy
