History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Motivation: To pay off his debts; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it

Description: This tall, slender woman wears a shirt and pants that are bristling with pockets overflowing with maps, compasses, and other navigational equipment. Sporting a black mohawk this woman's hair draws a lot of attention. Her eyes are violet.

Personality: She is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of her strength. She works very hard to maintain that gentleness. She spends most of her days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There she gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: She has money and likes to spend it.

Description: This western woman's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, she slurs her words together. She wears a tight fitting brown shirt and pants. Her auburn hair is unkempt and raggedy. She has a tattooed face.

Personality: She is unhospitable to her core. Her small house has "No trespassing" Signs all over it. She is kind towards other women and children and will generally offer women help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to her.

History: Emma was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Aristocrat, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Aristocrat in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Through the years after Emma was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Emma's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Her red eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: Friendly and accommodating she would invite many more into her home than her spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. She takes great pride in her work and is very well organized. Her planner is full of calendar events.

History: When she was but 8 years old her parents immigrated from the south. She was an apprentice working in her mother's forge. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
