History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Modean alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Seamstress. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Personality: She exudes charisma. She is a tour de force of persuasion. She is fiercely devoted to her father, and views her father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-brother.

History: A child with a great deal of music talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: She is a jovial happy person, but she is convinced people are living their lives too quickly. She is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: Gifted from a young age, Maynild studied abroad. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

She has relatively light skin and is very physically imposing due to her abundance of muscles. Her blonde hair is cut short with large spiked bangs in the front. Her ears are large.

Personality: She is business-like. She takes instructions and follows them to the letter. She is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and many dire rats want her driven away
