History: Burto was born in the east. At a young age he loved to build and create. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: River hails from a village terrorized by illithids. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. River was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the illithids.
