Her voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: She likes to fabricate stories about her past exploits and how crazy she is, but in actuality she is rather bland. She misses her home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. While she appears to be a normal Tiefling, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: She shows great sympathy to all travelers. She's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. She has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Merla was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She now spends her time doing works of charity.

Personality: Left-Handed is depressed about a lot of things. She tends to be a nihilist. She is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: Left-Handed hails from a village terrorized by illithids. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: Many illithids want her driven away.

History: Born to a Butcher, his father struggled to pay the bills. His childhood dream was to be a Butcher, but he was a colossal failure. He's also a talented Butcher, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor.

History: He was raised in a mountains tribe. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: Regain custody of his daughter; and to get a good night's sleep
