History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Through the years after Verin was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Verin's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

Personality: This man loves painting and to teach people painting more than just about anything. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of dire rats may trigger it at times.

History: His martial talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. He married young, but lost his spouse to dire rats. He has never given up on his painting dream.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. In his 15th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: He seems to be bored by most things.
