History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: Gifted from a young age, Rael studied abroad. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Description: This man is armored in gleaming platemail with gilded edges. A flowing grey cape and mantle trimmed with soft black waves gently in the breeze, and sports empty pouches on his belt. He wears his blonde hair up in a very large beehive style do. His face is scarred and worn.

Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Beggar. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: Further expansion of business; and he has a crush on the local beggar

Description: This malnourished man wears just a green suit. He has no hair. His eyes are silver and he is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Ekemon grew up listening to his father's many stories. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Shoemaker hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions.

Personality: She is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. She loves her children and doesn't want them to worry about her. She loves to share her writing with anyone who is interested.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Hunter. She's also a talented Barber, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: To be a Barber again.
