History: Born to a Masseuse, his mother struggled to pay the bills. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Halfling artifacts is his passion.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: A deep hatred of giants; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and she desires to right it
