Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, goblins burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying north to reunite his family. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Personality: She considers herself the perfect lady. She makes a point to always show proper etiquette and frequently critiques the etiquette of others. She tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She was forced to fight in gladiatorial arenas alongside her partner. They became the best of friends and one day they managed to break out together and then went their separate ways.
