History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. She took after her father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, her father taught her to defend herself. When her father died while fighting illithids, the young River began to lead the lost caravan. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. River was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the illithids.

History: Born in the west to a Bowyer, Valafar learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Tieflings in the west were limited. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Susannah embodies much of what other species detest in the Half-Elves. She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.
