History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Kerkad alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. After a long history of fighting, Kerkad and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Howard lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He took after his mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his mother taught him to defend himself. When his mother died while fighting dire rats, the young Howard began to lead the lost caravan. History: Born in the north to a Scribe, Shava learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. In the meantime she has taken over work as a Scribe and occasionally as a mercenary.
