History: Her father raised her in a mountain cabin. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. She always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: She is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out; and to share knowledge with the world

History: Born in the west to a Bricklayer, Egelina learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company.
