History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. She was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.
