History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

Through the years after Bethrynna was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Ranger in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Through the years after Salanop was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Salanop's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature shortbow.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. She has had some formal dancing training, and achieved minor success. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.
