Through the years after Rivaan was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Rivaan's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Rivaan and his spouse have recently divorced.

She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. After a long history of fighting, Sumnes and her spouse have recently divorced.
