Description: A middle-aged woman, she wears suspenders and grey workpants. Her shirt is white, and she wears a heavy grey leather apron most of the time, and is pretty ugly. Her blonde hair is greasy and uncared for. Her gray eyes dart from person to person.

Personality: She hates Dwarves with a passion. As such she is filled with self loathing. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Gurdis is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. In her youth she was a Soapmaker, and wanted to be a champion fighter when she grew up. She was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives she lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. She saw the brutality and swore off her fighting aspirations, taking her younger brother on her back after seeing her parents die, and fled the country. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Description: This man stands a little under 3'0" and is a bit bulky. He is very muscular particularly in the legs. He wears a tattered pair of loose white pants, a matching torn shirt, and a visible pair of similar condition same color briefs. He wears a colorful flower in his black hair. His eyes are gray and he is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Halander embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His parents enrolled him in a Ranger school at a young age so that he could practice his martial talents. After a long history of fighting, Halander and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He is content.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: Oriax was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Oriax has worked very hard to control his curse. He became a Courier soon after.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Courier responsibilities is difficult.

Description: This slender man stands about 3'1". He is wearing dark clothing and a heavy breastplate, keeping many of his physical features obscured. He sports a flattop hair cut. He is very pretty but has cold, dead eyes.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Calcitro isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Halfling unity. Calcitro is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for him.

Description: She wears a custom-built plate barding that's adorned with tan lining and desert motifs. Her skin is fair and her fingers are delicate and long. Her tied-back hair is red. Her face is scarred and worn.

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food she seems plenty friendly. She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.

History: She comes from a rich western family. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: She is greedy.
