Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it

Description: A hulking woman with gigantic muscles, she usually wears her brown robe and has her pickaxe always slung over her shoulder. Her gray fur is thinning but still full. Her amber eyes dart from person to person.

Personality: She is fixated on the number 76. She counts her steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. She seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Shipwright hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. After a long history of fighting, Skirt and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and retire the richest woman in the west

Description: This man is very fat, and tends to wear a pastel poncho over his likewise colored trousers and shirt. His fur is brown and very short. His face is scarred and worn.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Tanner and was forced into it by his family; and wants to raise his children well

Personality: She is irascible and easily irritated. She does not believe in violence as a means to an end. She is a dedicated Marshal but believes her peers are too gung-ho.

History: Helja was born the youngest of three triplets. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. By chance she met her sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: An old rival family wants her found; and doesn't want to be a marshal and was forced into it by her family

Personality: She is a jovial happy person, but she is convinced people are living their lives too quickly. She will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. She found a children's book about a Halfling Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.
