History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Emmeline grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Emmeline. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this northern gal figured out how to best use her charms to convince people to do what she wants. The war was a terrible time for her, and Pearl does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: The child of northern immigrants she idolized her mother. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: She wants to meet her childhood hero; and she wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Personality: She misses her glory days as an athlete. She does not mind her job, but it is boring in comparison. She is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She used her abilities to travel the world and help people.

History: Born in the north his family was never financially stable. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Performer and was forced into it by his family.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Scribe. He has achieved small success as a Scribe.
