His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: He was born in the west. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. She worked as a nervous Courier and found it very stressful. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Painter. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: To pay off her debts; and she'd like to take her coworkers down a peg

Personality: She is extraordinarily eccentric. She never wears the same outfit twice, unless she absolutely has to.

History: She was born in the west. Emerald was born on a far western island where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Blacksmith. She has never given up on her poetry dream.

Personality: Skamos is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He is always in debt, since he spends his money on lavish parties and gifts for friends

History: Skamos was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Dyer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has taken up work as a Dyer and fed both sides of the war false information with the goal of increasing casualties.
