History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A freak accident while working with her Merchant father left her crippled. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

History: Born to a Brewer, her mother struggled to pay the bills. In her 15th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Matilda alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by dire rats. Matilda was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the dire rats.
