Personality: She is enamored with her job. She loves it. She likes the challenge and she likes helping those less fortunate than her. On top of that she is swayed by a pretty face, and while loyalty to her employer will always come first she doesn't like to hit women.

History: Balifra was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Wizard, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Wizard in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Human companion (her 'brother'). She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Personality: She snorts whenever she laughs or is feeling confident. She spends most of her days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There she gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. She was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

Description: She is wearing the road beaten gear of a warrior. She has a slight overbite and is overall scrawny. Her black hair is unkempt and raggedy. Her eyes are a pleasant gray.

Personality: She cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with her opinion, she thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, she can get violently argumentative. She has a cruel streak; something she gained from her previous mentor. She harbors resentment against her former mentor.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Fistula was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Fistula fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: Here is a woman who knows she is the smartest in the room. She talks down to others constantly. She is fiercely devoted to her father, and views her father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-brother.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Her first spouse was a Painter, they had one son, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Purban embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Halflings.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: Half-Elven compassion; and he seems to be bored by most things
